PARENTS – SCHOOL CLIMATE SURVEY
Parents/Guardians,
We want to hear about your experience with your student’s education. We invite you to participate in completing the School Climate Survey. This survey includes questions about your student’s learning, school safety, and interpersonal relationships, as well as your attitudes about the institutional environment and your personal involvement in school. Your responses will be very helpful in improving student relationships, learning conditions, and the overall school environment. Beginning today, February 9th and ending February 28th, we invite all parents, guardians, and caretakers to complete this survey for our school. The survey brief; it contains 21 questions and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. All your responses are completely anonymous. We have no way to connect you to your answers, and results will only be reported as group responses. There are no right or wrong answers. We just want to know about your personal experiences. You can take the survey online by using the following unique school link. Thank you.
STUDENT SURVEY
On Wednesday, February 26th students will be participating in a brief school climate survey. It is an anonymous survey used to identify school climate issues within our school. The survey for middle school students includes 9 questions and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. The survey is anonymous, but parents/guardians are given the option to opt-out if desired. The data collected from the survey will be used to identify student perceptions of school climate issues within our school. School staff use the results to inform our efforts at improving our school climate. If you do not wish for your child to participate in this survey, please sign and return the attached form to the school Tuesday, February 25th. Thank you. If you would like to see a copy of the survey, please send me a request.

MATH PROBLEM OF THE WEEK
Last week’s answer: 24 small boxes of candy
INTRIGUING INTEGER
I'm thinking of a particular integer. It is a multiple of three, five, and seven. No digit occurs more than once. Can you find my number?
With just that information there are lots of possibilities, so let me narrow the problem down with a few more clues.
  • The digit in the tens place is a square number.
  • The digit in the hundreds place is a cube.
  • The digit in the hundred thousands place is both a square and a cube.
  • Only the digit in the hundreds place is larger than the digit in the ones place.
What is my integer?
Turn your answers in to the office. SHOW YOUR WORK. The correct answers will be put in a drawing for huge, tremendous prizes!
