LIFE AT THE LOCKE … Issue #16 2019-2020

December 15, 2019 HOLIDAY EDITION!! Dear Parents/Guardians, Staff, and Students, I wish you all a happy, healthy holiday season and a happy new year. We have had another great year at the Locke. It certainly was a busy one with BMHS opening its doors to 8 th  graders and our school welcoming 5 th  and 6 th  graders. Change can be difficult at times, but our students and staff are resilient and embraced the transition for the benefit of all. It is a great time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to new challenges and goals. The Locke has a great year of learning planned for the coming months. Enjoy your vacation with family and friends. The newsletter will be taking a week off and we will publish again on January 1 st .  See you in 2020!! 4 ½ DAYS OF LEARNING left in 2019! December 8, 2019 Dear Parents/Guardians, Staff, and Students, I hope you are enjoying the cold weekend. We have a busy 2 weeks ahead before the holiday break. We are back to a full  5 DAYS OF LEARNING this week ! Let’s see what’s happening … Monday, December 9 th  is an “A” Day . Please plan accordingly for the week. BOOK FAIR THIS WEEK Our first book fair of the year will be running this week, Monday through Friday! Proceeds from the fair will go towards supporting the Locke library. December 1, 2019 Dear Parents/Guardians, Staff, and Students, Welcome to December! I hope that you and your families enjoyed the Thanksgiving break. It is a great opportunity to get together with family and friends, enjoy some great food, and of course go shopping! As we enter the busiest and most hectic time of year, I wish you a safe, healthy holiday season and an opportunity to reflect on the positive moments of this past year. We return with a full  5 DAYS OF LEARNING this week ! (maybe not, it looks a possible snow day on Monday) Let’s see what’s happening … Monday, December 2 nd  is a “D” Day .
