Happy Spring!! (for now). I hope you are enjoying the record-breaking temperatures this weekend. We are back this week with another 5 DAYS OF LEARNING !!  It looks like a busy, fun, exciting week at the Locke. Let’s see what’s happening …

AFTER SCHOOL THIS WEEK
HW Club and late buses will resume on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.  
AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Winter activities will begin the week of January 27th. The winter flyer will be sent home with students this week. It will be sent by email also. It looks like we will have several exciting options!
NEW HALLWAY PASS POLICY
After vacation, we instituted a new pass policy. All students must use their agenda books as their hallway pass. Students are also asked to sign in/out of the classroom. If students need a new agenda book, we have them in the office for a $5 charge.
CHORUS CONCERT
The winter concert will be this Wednesday, January 15th at 7:00 PM at BMHS.
SHAWSHEEN TECH AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The Shawsheen tech program for 7th graders continues this week on Tuesday and Thursday. Students will board the bus in the teacher’s parking lot at dismissal. If you have any questions, please contact Shawsheen.
HONOR ROLL – TRIMESTER 1
Congratulations to all students for their accomplishment of achieving high honors or honors for the 1st trimester. The criteria for honor roll is:
High Honor Roll = 90% or higher overall grade in all Trimester 1 subjects (core classes, electives, PE, Band/Chor/Orch, reading, world language)
Honor Roll = 80% or higher in all Trimester1 subjects

MATH PROBLEM OF THE WEEK
Last week’s answer: The radius is 15.6 inches/second.
2020 Problems
If the perimeter of a particular square is 2020 inches, what is the area of the square, in square inches?  Express your answer as a decimal to the nearest hundredth.
BONUS --What is the median of the first 2020 positive integers?  Express your answer as a decimal to the nearest tenth.
Turn your answers in to the office. SHOW YOUR WORK. The correct answers will be put in a drawing for huge, tremendous prizes!

Attendance is an important part of overall student success. If your child is going to be absent, please call 978-528-8650 to report the absence. PTO CORNER
Our next Restaurant Night will be on Saturday, January 25th from  3:00-7:00 pm at the Feel Good Cafe in North Billerica. 
We have two open spots on the PTO: Secretary & Treasurer
We are also looking for help with the following programs:
