QUOTE OF THE WEEK
True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost. -- Arthur Ashe

We will be collecting items for our troops until Friday, November 15th. Items can be turned in at the main lobby. We are also extending the deadline for collecting pictures and biographies for our wall of honor. We need a few more photos for our wall! Please see the attached letter regarding our efforts. The half day before Thanksgiving Student Council is going to hold the annual Turkey Toss in the gym to raise money and food for local families in need for the holidays. The Turkey Toss will be an assembly (one for each grade) the half day before Thanksgiving (Wednesday, Nov 27th).  A few representatives from each eligible homeroom will be chosen at random at the assembly to participate in the turkey toss.  They will be slinging rubber turkeys attempting to hit targets to earn points.  The homeroom from each grade with the most points earned will win a doughnut party for the whole homeroom. Also the homeroom that brings in the most items will win a doughnut party. Each homeroom will be responsible for raising money and collecting canned goods. We ask that each homeroom raise $50 AND collect 50 food items. Students can start bringing in donations Wednesday, 11/13. See the attached flyer for more details.
