Dear Parents/Guardians, Staff, and Students,
Happy Father’s Day! Only 1 ½ DAYS OF LEARNING remain.  
FINAL THOUGHTS  
I wish all of our 7th and 8th graders the best of luck as they move on to high school and new learning experiences. It has been a pleasure working with you. Remember to always work hard, make positive choices, and make sure you learn something new every day. Most importantly, follow your dreams! You will be missed!
Also to our Locke families, thank you for the support and commitment that you have given to our staff and your children this year. The educational partnership between home and school is what helps students to grow socially and emotionally. I wish you a happy, healthy summer with many days of learning. We will see you back at the Locke in the fall!

Monday, June 17th is a “D” Day. Please plan accordingly for the week.
LAST DAY – Half Day
Our last day is Tuesday, June 18th with a 10:40 dismissal. Breakfast and lunch will not be served on Tuesday.

7th GRADE END OF YEAR PARTY
We are having an after school party for our 7th graders on June 17th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Tickets will be on sale during lunch on Monday for $5. Students attending will report to the cafeteria right after school.
FIELD DAY! – A GREAT TIME
Field Day was a great success on Friday. Thank you to the PTO and all of the parent volunteers for organizing and helping out. Memo to the 8thgraders who dunked me: I will get my revenge!
MATH PROBLEM OF THE WEEK (LAST ANSWER)
Last week’s answer: There were 30 closed lockers after all the students left.
Important Upcoming Dates:
  • June 17th – 8th grade Canobie Lake Trip
  • June 17th – 7th grade end of year party, 2:00-4:00
  • June 18th – Last Day of Learning, Half Day -10:40 Dismissal, Report Cards Published
Looking ahead:
  • August 22nd   – Open House: 4:00 – 6:00 for incoming 5th graders, 6:00-8:00 for incoming 6th graders -schedules will be distributed
  • August 23rd – 7thgrade schedules posted to portal
  • September 3rd -- First Day of School!!!
  • September 10th  -- All forms due back to the school
  • September 12th -- Middle School “Back to School Night” 6:00 – 8:00 PM
  • September 17th -- Early Release for Students (dismissal at 11:40)
  • September 18th -- School Picture Day
