TALENT SHOW
Talent Show auditions will be held this week on Wednesday and Thursday. See attached flyer. See Ms. Berard in room 415 for any questions.
HALLOWEEN DANCE
We will be having a Halloween Dance at the Locke on Friday, October 26th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. See attached flyer.
BSAP FORUM
The Billerica substance abuse prevention committee is holding a forum for students and parents at the Marshall on Wednesday, October 17th at 5:30 PM. See the attached flyer for more details.
HOMEWORK CLUB
HW club continues throughout the year. It will be in the library every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Students do not need to sign up ahead of time for HW club. They will report to the library immediately after school. Students can attend as many days as the parent/student believes are necessary.
LATE BUSES
Late bus continues throughout the year and will run on every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The buses usually arrive at the Locke at 3:10 PM. Please see the attached for the late bus stops. We do have a stop at the boys and girls club.

Pocket Change
A collection of 33 coins, consisting of nickels, dimes, and quarters, has a value of $3.30. If there are three times as many nickels as quarters, and one-half as many dimes as nickels, how many coins of each kind are there?

The holidays are coming! This year’s Holiday Festival tree will feature sports! We’re looking for donations of any sports type … Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, Revolution, Cannons, BMHS Indians, or Shawsheen Rams! A bin in the office will be available for any donations or feel free to have the coordinators do the shopping for you by donating gift cards. Donations are due by November 9th. If you have any questions, please reach out to Kerry of Lisa at the contact information listed in the attachment or the PTO via email or Facebook and we can route your question. Thanks.
We’re looking for volunteers for our Halloween trinket sales ($1 each) during school lunch, 10:15 – 12:00. Sales will be from October 22nd to October 31st. Please let us know if you are available to help out.
Mark your calendars! Our first restaurant night fundraiser is set for November 13 with Pini’s Pizza! Pini’s will donate 15% of sales for the entire day to the PTO. Please see attached flyer (not needed for purchase).
The school pickup deadline for Yankee Candle has passed. but you can still order online until January 9, 2019, at www.yankeecandlefundraising.com, group 999972037. Online orders are shipped directly to your home. If you order $40 or more by October 15 you will receive FREE SHIPPING!

June 19, 2023 FINAL EDITION!! Dear Parents/Guardians, Staff, and Students, Final Thoughts ...  We are completing a fantastic year at the Locke Middle School. It was another unique year that presented many challenges to learning as we tried to return to a sense of normalcy. To our Locke families, thank you for the support and commitment that you have given to our staff and your children this year. The educational partnership between home and school is what helps students to grow socially and emotionally. I wish you all a happy, healthy summer with many days of learning.
