Dismissal will be at 2:40. We will follow our regular schedule and with the additional time students will report to their Day B period 6 class. Students will go to lockers from 1:40 – 1:45 and class from 1:45 – 2:40. They will not go to lockers at the end of the day.

AFTER SCHOOL THIS WEEK
We have concluded our after-school programs and late bus runs. Students that are staying after school will have to arrange for parent transportation.

BOOK FAIR
Book Fair is this week! Students will be coming with their English classes: Tuesday: 7A and 8A, Wednesday: 7B and 8B, Thursday: 6th grade. The fair will also be open during school hours Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There is no make-up day due to Field Day. We are looking for parent volunteers to assist with sales. If you have any availability on any of these days, please contact Jenny Day at Squeakie66@yahoo.com. Thank you!
Parents: Scholastic has a new way to pay - eWallet is linked to your credit card, and you set a spending limit. Visit Scholastic.com/fair to find our fair and set up an eWallet. See attached flyer.

FIELD DAY
This year's field day is scheduled for Friday, June 15th. The cost for students is $10 and the attached form is due on Thursday, June 14th. This event is great fun for the kids, with both indoor and outdoor activities available over the course of the day, but does depend on a tremendous number of volunteers.  Whether you can stay the day, or spare even a 1/2 hour, any and all help is welcome and truly appreciated.  Please mark your calendar and sign up using our signup genius link. Thank you in advance!

CPR PROGRAM- GRADE 6
The 6th graders and several staff members completed CPR training last week. Thank you to Mrs. Carpenter, the Billerica Fire/Police Departments and Town Paramedics for their efforts in offering this training

MATH PROBLEM OF THE WEEK
Last Week’s Answer: The actual number of $25 gift cards Derrick received for graduation was 7 gift cards.
Summer Road Trip
The Garas family owns an SUV and a hybrid car. The SUV’s gas mileage rate is 18 miles per gallon of gas, while the hybrid’s gas mileage rate is 40 miles per gallon of gas. If the round trip is 720 miles and gas costs $3.89 per gallon, how much money, in dollars, will the family save by driving the hybrid car instead of the SUV?

SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
The 2018 summer enrichment program will be held at the Locke. Please see the attached flyer and the link below:
